January 1 – First phase of the Lusail Tram, a six-station section of the Orange Line, opens.[1]
January 8 – Hangzhou–Taizhou high-speed railway opens.[2]
January 13 – Line 4 of the Paris Métro is extended from Mairie de Montrouge to Bagneux–Lucie Aubrac.[3]- January 15 – Second phase of the Jiaxing Tram begins operation.

– The 75 kilometer 'Beno' rail line between Belgrade and Novi Sad in Serbia is reopened as a high speed line, part of the Budapest–Belgrade railway, partly under the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.[8]
March 21 – The Union Square Branch of the MBTA subway's Green Line Extension opens in Somerville.[9]
March 22 – Manila MRT Line 3 completes an upgrading and rehabilitation project.[10]- March 25
