2022 State Opening of Parliament
A State Opening of Parliament is scheduled for 10 May 2022.[1] Queen Elizabeth II will open the third session of the 2019 Parliament with the traditional Queen's Speech.[2] It will be held a month before her Platinum Jubilee in June.[3]

It will be the 68th state opening carried out by the Queen.
Bills
A number of bills will be carried over from the previous session.[4]

- Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Bill
- Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill
- High Speed Rail (Crewe-Manchester) Bill
- Online Safety Bill
Speculation
The Daily Telegraph reported that the speech may include bills on the Levelling up policy, a Proposed British Bill of Rights, the Northern Ireland Protocol, Channel 4 privatisation, cost of living, and mental health reform.[5][6]
