Promotion-relegation playoffs

The Semi-playoff 2 is contested between the 4th and 5th placed teams in the K League 2. The winners advance to the Playoff 2 to face the 3rd placed team in the K League 2, and the winners and the 2nd placed team advance to the Promotion-relegation playoffs to match against the 10th and 11th placed team in the K League 1. The winners of that tie secure two(2) places in the 2023 K League 1.

If scores are tied after regular time in the Semi-playoff and Playoff rounds, the higher-placed team will advance to the next phase. The same conditions do not apply for the Promotion-relegation playoffs.
