2022 Imran Khan's public gatherings
In 2022 Imran Khan's public gatherings after losing the no-confidence motion, Imran Khan's first gathering was held in Peshawar and his second in Karachi.
Background
"It will be more dangerous if he does not stay in government and comes to the streets." Imran Khan had said these words in the days when the PPP, PML-N and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam had settled the issues of overthrowing the PTI government.[1][2]
Peshawar Jalsa
He held his first power show on 13 April 2022 in Peshawar after leaving the government and called for staying on the streets till the election is declared. We have to live on the streets, the nation has not recognized the imported government, the decisive time has come, we have to decide whether we want slavery or freedom?[3] He said: The government was removed under the conspiracy, I ask the institutions, can these bandits protect the nuclear program? Putting our integrity in the hands of these thieves, there is no fear of God.[4]
Karachi Jalsa
His second jalsa was held on 16 April in Karachi. Imran Khan had asked those attending the rally to bring national flags with them. In a video message on Twitter, it was said that this is now a war of Pakistan's sovereignty and true democracy against the change of governments with the help of local Mir Jafars.[5][6]
Twitter Rally
On April 20, 2022, more than 446,000 people from around the world interacted with Khan via Twitter Spaces.[7]
