Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this season's Indian Super League was decided to held at Goa behind closed doors.[2]

  1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the 2020–21 Indian Super League season would be entirely held in Goa, inside closed doors and NorthEast United FC has been allotted the Tilak Maidan Stadium as their home ground for the season.[1]
  2. As the Premiers Mumbai City won the ISL playoffs, the regular season runners-up will qualify for 2022 AFC Cup play-off round
  3. Match was played behind closed doors due to government restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
