2004 WTA Tour Championships – Singles
Maria Sharapova defeated Serena Williams in the final, 4–6, 6–2, 6–4, to win the Singles title at the 2004 WTA Tour Championships. It was her WTA Tour Championships debut. This was also the second and final time in which Sharapova defeated Williams, losing the next 20 encounters through to her retirement in February 2020.[1][2]
