2022 Copa América Femenina
The 2022 Copa América Femenina will be the 9th edition of the main international women's football championship in South America, the Copa América Femenina,[1] for national teams affiliated with CONMEBOL. The competition will be held in Colombia from 8 to 30 July 2022.[2]

Brazil are the defending champions.[3] After this edition, the tournament will be held every two years instead of four.[4]
The tournament acts as South American qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand,[5] providing three direct qualifying places and two play-off places for the Women's World Cup,[6] and three more places for the 2023 Pan American Games tournament in Santiago (in addition to Chile who qualified automatically as hosts).

Venues
The venues were announced on 16 December 2021. The tournament will be held in three cities: Cali, Bucaramanga and Armenia. The final round will be held in Cali.[7][8]

Squads
The top Brazilian goalscorer Marta is unable to play in the tournament – previously the champion three times, she was reported in March to be recovering from a knee ligament injury and surgery.[10]
Group stage
The top two teams of each group advance to the semi-finals, while the two third-placed teams will advance to the fifth place play-off.
