2022 California's 22nd congressional district special election
The 2022 California's 22nd congressional district special election is an upcoming special election. The seat became vacant when incumbent Republican representative Devin Nunes resigned on January 1, 2022, to become the CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group.[1]

Governor Gavin Newsom scheduled the special election for June 7, 2022, with the primary election on April 5, 2022.[2] The election will be held using a nonpartisan blanket primary, where all candidates will run in the same primary and, if no candidate receives a majority of votes, the top-two candidates will advance to the general election.[3]
