The 87th New York Film Critics Circle Awards, honoring the best in film for 2021, were announced on December 3, 2021.[1][2][3]

The awards ceremony, which was scheduled to take place in the TAO Downtown Restaurant in New York on January 10, 2022, was postponed due to the rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the country, with a new date for the ceremony to be unveiled in early 2022.[4][5][6]
