2020–21 Liga IV Suceava

The 2020–21 Liga IV Suceava (known as Liga Inter Conti for sponsorship reasons)[1] was the 53rd season of the Liga IV Suceava, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. Originally scheduled to start in August 2020, the season was postponed due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.[2].
On 7 April 2021, the Romanian Football Federation decided to allow the County Football Associations to organize a short tournament and until 8 May, they must communicate the teams qualified for the promotion play-off to Liga III.[3]

The tournament organized by AJF Suceava started on 18 April[4] and was concluded on 8 May 2021. Viitorul Liteni was crowned as county champion.[5]

Overview

Teams and competition format

Eight clubs responded positively, that they can participate in this tournament and observe the new medical protocol, double the minimum required by the Romanian Football Federation.[6]

The eight teams will be divided into two groups and will be played in a double round-robin tournament. The winners of the two groups will qualify for the championship play-off.[7]

Viitorul Liteni won the 2020–21 Liga IV Suceava and qualify for promotion play-off to Liga III.[9]
