Overview

Teams and competition format

Only five teams responded positively, that they can participate in this tournament and observe the new medical protocol: Precizia Săcele, Colțea Brașov, Codlea, Olimpic Zărnești and Steagu Roșu Brașov.

Originally, the teams were scheduled to play each other four times, twice at home, twice away, for a total of 16 matches each, but due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and because the Romanian Football Federation decided that until May 8, each County Football Association must communicate the teams qualified for the promotion play-off to Liga III, the format was change.[4][5]

At the end of the first stage, the teams will play a play-off on neutral ground. The teams will start the play-off with all the points accumulated in the first stage.[6]

All matches will be played behind-closed-doors at Ghimbav.[7]
